1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flash Team website and repair services. By booking a repair or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Our Services

Flash Team provides domestic appliance and boiler repair services. We operate a network of qualified engineers who carry out repairs at your property. Services are subject to availability in your area.

3. Booking and Pricing

  • Fixed Prices: Appliance repairs are offered at fixed prices as quoted on our website. The price includes callout, labour, and standard parts.
  • Boiler Repairs: Boiler repairs are quoted individually due to varying complexity.
  • Price Validity: Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of quote.
  • Additional Parts: If specialist or manufacturer parts are required, we will inform you of any additional cost before proceeding.

4. Appointments

  • Confirmation: We will confirm your appointment within 2 hours of booking.
  • Access: You must ensure an adult (18+) is present at the property to provide access.
  • Cancellation: Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange.
  • Missed Appointments: If we cannot access the property, a rebooking fee may apply.

5. Repairs and Guarantee

  • Diagnosis: Our engineer will diagnose the fault. If the repair is not covered by your quote, we will advise you before proceeding.
  • Beyond Economical Repair: If an appliance is beyond economical repair, you will only be charged a diagnostic fee.
  • Guarantee: All repairs come with a 6-month guarantee on parts and labour.
  • Guarantee Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover new faults, accidental damage, or misuse.

6. Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of the repair.
  • We accept cash, card, and bank transfer.
  • For The Flash Plan, payment is taken monthly by direct debit.

7. The Flash Plan

  • The Flash Plan is subject to a 14-day waiting period.
  • Appliances must be under 10 years old and in working condition at sign-up.
  • You may cancel at any time with 30 days notice.
  • Pre-existing faults are not covered.

8. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair or replacement of the faulty part.
  • We are not liable for any consequential losses (e.g., food spoilage, loss of earnings).
  • All engineers carry public liability insurance.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us at info@theflashteam.co.uk. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may refer the matter to a relevant ombudsman service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
